GOT polish? Freestylin'!

Hi!

Sorry I've not posted for a few days, technology has not been on my side! For this week's Golden Oldie Thursday we could do what the hell we wanted, so I did! Actually the base was a brand spanking new Barry M Summer Ltd Edition from Boots called Bikini, a lovely perriwinkle blue, my "oldies" were the stamping polishes and the glitter. I stamped peacock feathers (I rather like peacock feathers, in case you didn't know!) using Color Club Perfect Mol-ten, Cold Metal and Hot Like Lava from the Foiled collection, and the glitter gradient tips were done with Icing Lemme See Your Peacock. The stamping plate was MoYou Pro 03, and Nails Craze NC01 on the thumb. Loved this mani, perfectly me.

I'm currently sporting a gel polish pedi, but when it comes off I think something similar to this will be replacing it! It'll match my tattoo nicely ;)

Bad blogger...

Evening!

I've not posted in a few days, oops! I have had a visit from the in-laws and combined with not being 100% it's wiped me out! I'm not one of those bloggers who has a huge vault of photos to rely on when I don't have time - usually what I post is done at most a few days ahead and I only paint my nails every other day. I rarely 'swatch' a polish - that is paint my nails, take pics and take it straight back off again so what you see is what you get! Anyway, the in-laws are gone now so my normal schedule will resume! They live in Spain so we don't see them all that often, and the mother in law bought me some lovely Kiko polishes so I can't complain!

Anyway, this is what I was wearing when they arrived last Thursday. I don't know about you, but with the Barry M Gellies and other high street gel effect polishes, I overlooked Rimmel's version - Salon Pro, but I now have two of their polishes and they're crackers! The base for this was Barmy Blue, a lovely shiny navy two coater. Simply polish beauty.

It made a beautiful base for a bit of randomness! I topped two fingers with Color Club's pretty new flakie, The Uptown, the ring finger was adorned with Icing lemme See Your Peacock and then stamped with a swirly Pueen pattern in metallic green, Color Club Perfect Mol-ten.

Sometimes only random will do!

Untrieds Month - Petites Zodiac and Icing Lemme See Your Peacock

Hi!

More polishes from birthday clubbers/springsurprises/awesome swaps today! I broke a nail a few days ago so took them all to nubs, and to me, nothing suits nubbins better than purple. This pretty purple was sitting in my untrieds all unloved so I whipped it on and unloved it is no longer! Can you say pretty? I created an accent nail with this awesome Icing glitter - turquoise, green and purple hex glitter in a clear base. I loved it :) I was at the hospital with my son the day I wore it and all the nurses complimented me on it, which made my day a bit better!

I have so many untried purples, it's quite shamefull...

NOTD - Putty and glitter

Morning!

Excuse my erratic posting at the moment, I have a cold so my usual late night posts ahve been replaced with sleep, and it's my first born's 4th birthday on Monday and we have visitors etc over the weekend, so I'm not sure what I'll manage! I'll schedule a post this evening for sometime over the weekend to keep you amused!

Anyway, the untried challenge is still going strong. Today is the last day of September, and my god I'm going to splurge. But I've rehomed my untrieds into a much smaller box, and there are about half the polishes in there that were there at the start of the month. I'll do my last manicure of the challenge tonight and then have a week every month where I go through them. I'm glad it's over, and glad I did it but it was a pain when I wanted a particular colour but didn't have any! I stuck to it though and each manicure I've worn this month has had at least one polish from "the box".

The manicure I'm showing you today used two polishes, but only one I hadn't used previously. I bought a set of three icing polishes on ebay on a whim, a matte pink, a purple, and this one, a sort of pale grey colour. It reminds me of window putty (in the days before uPVC) so that's what I'm calling it. It was a pain to apply as although it was listed as new there was only about 2/3 of the bottle left and the brush didn't reach down far enough. Only needed 2 coats though. Then I topped with it ELF Golden Goddess which is gold micro glitter and gold holo hexes in a clear base.

It lasted really well, and instead of taking it off because it chipped like usual, I only took it off when I was bored of it. I should have mattefied it, but I forgot.

That's all for this morning loves, how are you all enjoying this crazy weather?! I hope it stays for Ollie's birthday on Monday!
