Ok, straight to the point. Water marbling is hard. And messy. Man is it messy, at least when I do it. And I only did one hand since I have an infection in a finger on my right hand and there was no way I was getting polish in it. Anyway, as usual it didn't come out great, but I guess it was ok. I used Barry M Spring Green and Mint Green and dragged the polish into the centre of the cup once I'd got my bulls eye to make petals/leaves, but either my cup was too big or I didn't use enough polish so the gaps in between layers were too wide. I might try this again a bit later, I have another idea...
I think I like the thumb the best. I think I decided water marbling is totally not worth the effort...

You did a really good job! You're right, water marblng is HARD!!!
ReplyDeleteRight?
DeleteLooks really good.
ReplyDeleteI hate watermarbling, as I always fail. I would love to be pro at it!
Has anyone ever tried using a egg cup/shot glass? Or would that just make for a crazy design?
I tried with a shot glass once and it worked but made no difference to how much polish I used! Also if you wanted to dip two or more nails at a time you couldn't with the shot glass x
Deleteit looks great - 2 colours only is really effective. Jen, I use plastic disposable cups - they seem to work best x
ReplyDeleteI tried adding yellow in too and it looked like puke HA, so two colours it was!x
DeleteThis looks awesome. I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteI'm wayy too intimidated by marbling to attempt it, but this is great! I love that you only used 2 colours, it's so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteGive it a go, you might be surprised!x
