Belle Glamour - UK Indie swatch and review!

Today I'm bringing you another new UK Indie you lucky, lucky people! Belle Glamour is a new indie on the scene, run by the lovely Catriona of Catriona's cosmetics, which is launching on the 24th of January. She sent me two of her cute little polishes to show you, Written in the Stars and Love is in the Air. These are part of her Valentines collection, and are perfectly suited to the occasion!

Written in the stars has a shimmery red base and holographic star glitter, and I actually think this makes a perfect Christmas polish too! I used a base of Barry M Magnetic Burgundy and one coat of WITS - not because the polish is sheer but because I only have a dinky bottle and I wanted to make the most of it! It applied fairly easily - I didn't have to fish around for the glitters but I did have to place them on the nail quite carefully. A good thick topcoat keeps them in place and stops the edges catching and you're done. I love how the base covers the stars, but then you get a holographic flash every now and then!

Next up is Love is in the Air, a really pretty, frosty silver base with small pink hexes and pale grey hearts. This one is sheer, and I layered it over silver to show the true base colour although I think it would look great over darker or pastel bases too. The pink hexes came out easily but I did have to fish for the hearts. There's plenty in there, they just didn't want to come out! This is a seriously pretty polish! I photographed it in different lights because it was a hard one to capture.

Belle Glamour polishes will be available from Catriona's Cosmetics on the 24th of January 2014, priced at £3.25 for 5ml or £5 for 10ml. There will also be a limited edition Harry Potter collection available to pre-order on the 31st Decembr, priced at £3.50 for 5ml (check out her blog for details!). I've got my eye on a couple of them already!
